Admission to the program
The first step is to submit and admission to the program. Once the submission is completed the fulfilment of the requirements to be admitted are checked.
Supervisor
If the candidate indicates preference for a supervisor or research group, it will be notified to the faculty/group and they will value if the candidate is suitable for the research area and the availability to supervise. If the proposed supervisor accepts as well the student, the candidate is admitted.
If the candidate has not shown a preference for a supervisor or group, the information of the candidate is sent to the faculty members of the program. Each faculty/group will value if the candidate is suitable for the research area and propose a supervisor. Then the candidate has to select one of the proposed supervisors. The student will be admitted when the supervisor and the student accept.
IMPORTANT: The admission to the doctoral program does not include any type of grant or support. If the student needs financial support it is recommended to check the available grants of the program and contact the research groups.
Certificates of admission
Sometimes admitted candidates need a certificate of admission. Once admitted you can request a certificate by applying to doctoratb.utgaeib@upc.edu and indicating:
- Language.
- Typical content:
- Year (Course) of the admission.
- Date of admission.
- Supervisor.
- Duration of the doctoral studies.
- Expected date to finalize the studies.
- Academic language.
- Date of application.
- Date of enrol.
