Formative activities

  The PhD program in Electrical Engineering from UPC requires doctoral candidates acquire skills through training activities. It is necessary to complete doctoral studies these activities to other doctoral thesis. The realization of these activities should be reflected in the document activities PhD (DAD). The activities included in the program and our dedication minimum include:


1) Type: Courses, seminars and workshops
Objective: To acquire knowledge on specific topics.
Minimum: 6 h / year (total 18 hours)
 
2) Activity: Skills Training search information
Objective: To acquire skills in seeking information.
Minimum: 1.5 h

3) Activity: Research Methodology
Objective: To acquire knowledge in conceptual and methodological techniques of qualitative and quantitative research.
Minimum: 12 h
 
4) Business: Innovation and Creativity
Objective: To acquire knowledge in models of creativity and professional projects.
Minimum: 8 h
 
5) Activity: Language skills and communication.
Objective: To acquire knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to communicate effectively.
Minimum: 18 h
 
Also considered training activity stays at centers abroad to carry out activities related to the thesis.
